Today we are off to one of our most favourite venues The Mansion House, near Biggelswade. Up until recently it has always been known as Shuttleworth House, but many changes are happening this year as they strive to separate the House and it function facilities from the college and Shuttleworth park. However, the venue and staff are still tremendous and we look forward to another season of weddings working with them. Why not come and see us?…

As we now seriously enter the full wedding season, many couples are given the chance to have a pre-wedding shoot. This is a great opportunity to further get to know each other, and have some real relaxed fun!
Very few brides really enjoy being in front of the camera, so this is a lovely time to spend together with their partner. It also helps to understand how we will be working on their day, and fills them with confidence so they know we will not be intrusive or overbearing. Good wedding photography is about capturing special moments of love, with the fun and laughter of family and friends, and this realy happens once couples relax and forget about the camera.
Usually pre-wedding shoots are taking outside, again to get the feel of how we use light and situations. Unfortunately, when Liz & Simon came to visit our village it wasn’t the best of days for the weather. However, this meant they got really lucky as they also had a quick studio session, before the skies brightened, (but not much!). Then we had a few minutes at our local, famous Buckden Towers. 
Well done for being good sports, after all, who knows what weather we will get on any day in this country….

As one month closes, and new one starts, so it’s time for us to think about this months special offers.
A numbers of lucky couples have taken us up on our pre-wedding shoot offer from April, and they will now have the fun experience of a pre-wedding shoot, as part of their wedding selections. This is a great opportunity for both the couples and myself to get to know each other even better, well before the wedding day, and give them some fantastic shots they can display at their wedding reception. These shoots are usually done as environmental portraits as we use the natural light and relaxed settings as we would on their wedding day.

Today was another Sunday Wedding Fair where we had the opportunity to show, our fantastic products and services to prospective couples who are getting married. This time the venue was the fantastic location of Bedford (boys) School in the centre of Bedford. As one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in Bedford, the grounds, buildings and facilities are superb, and present some beautiful opportunities for stunning wedding photography. I just can’t wait to cover our first wedding there.
The show was well organised as ever by Olivia Grace Bridal, and was well attended by both exhibitors, and visitors who were also treated to a couple of fashion shows.
All in all a great day, and now it’s time to follow-up all of the lovely people I spoke to and see who will be our first bride at this great wedding venue. If you want to be our first bride at the new venue, please call urgently for a free consultation.
